A manufacturing company in Costa Rica required a 20-ton overhead crane for their workshop. The crane was intended to be used for the movement and transportation of heavy loads within the workshop and needed to be customized to fit their specific requirements.

After careful analysis, our crane engineers recommended an AQ-HD single girder overhead crane with a lifting capacity of 20 tons and a lifting height of 6m. The crane was designed to span the length of the workshop and was equipped with a European standard wire rope electric hoist for the horizontal movement of loads, as well as a three-in-one variable frequency motor to make the crane run more smoothly.
The crane was also fitted with various safety features, including an overload protection system, emergency stop buttons, etc., to ensure safe lifting operation.
The Aicrane production team fabricated the 20 ton overhead crane with high-quality materials to ensure durability and longevity.
The main girder is made of Q235B high-quality carbon structural steel and the structural design of the box girder conforms to the European FEM standard. The main welds of the main girder are welded by a double-gun gantry welding machine, and the two welds are formed at one time, effectively controlling the welding deformation and ensuring the levelness of the main girder.
The end beam adopts a large floor boring machine for one-time overall processing and forming, which ensures the dimensional accuracy and fit tolerance of the end beam.
The wire rope electric hoist conforms to the FEM design standard, operates with frequency conversion speed regulation, so it has small impact, and can realize precise positioning.
The Aicrane shipping and document team was responsible for booking containers, preparing and confirming customs clearance documents to ensure that the goods arrive at the customer’s destination port in time.
A team of experienced engineers and technicians hired by the client company undertook the installation and commissioning of the crane, and the Aicrane installation engineers provided online installation guidance to ensure that it met the required safety and performance standards.
