Aicrane has successfully completed the manufacturing, assembly, and factory commissioning of a YTL(60+60)T hydraulic double girder rubber tyred gantry crane for a strategic customer in the Middle East. The crane was specially developed for outdoor handling and transportation of large gas tanks, addressing key challenges such as load balance, lifting stability, and synchronized operation during large-scale lifting operations.
Large gas tanks used in industrial applications often feature considerable length, weight, and complex handling requirements. During outdoor transportation and lifting operations, maintaining load balance and minimizing movement or swinging are major challenges, especially when handling oversized cylindrical structures.
For this Middle East project, the customer required a reliable lifting system capable of moving large gas tanks safely and efficiently within the manufacturing yard. The solution needed to provide not only sufficient lifting capacity but also accurate positioning, stable load control, and flexible operation across outdoor working areas.
To meet these requirements, Aicrane developed a customized 120 ton hydraulic rubber tyred gantry crane integrating a specialized lifting attachment system, synchronized lifting control, and flexible rubber-tyred mobility. The design enables stable handling of long and heavy industrial components while adapting to changing yard layouts.
To handle extra-long and heavy gas tanks, the crane is equipped with a customized dual hook lifting system combined with dual parallel spreader beams.
Compared with conventional single-point lifting configurations, this arrangement distributes lifting forces more evenly across the load and improves overall balance during operation.
To further address synchronization requirements, both mechanical components and electrical control systems were specially designed to coordinate the movement of the two lifting points. This synchronized operation helps reduce uneven loading, improve positioning accuracy, and minimize load swinging during lifting and transportation processes.
The double girder rubber tyred gantry crane structure provides enhanced rigidity and improved load distribution during heavy lifting operations.
The reinforced girder design helps reduce structural deformation under large loads, ensuring stable crane performance when handling long and heavy gas tanks.

Equipped with a hydraulic drive system, the crane achieves smooth traveling performance and accurate positioning during outdoor handling operations.

This controlled operation capability is especially important for large industrial yards where accurate positioning and operational flexibility are required.
Unlike conventional rail mounted gantry cranes, the rubber-tyred configuration eliminates the need for permanent rail tracks and fixed travel paths.
The crane can move between different working areas according to production requirements, providing greater flexibility for large manufacturing yards where multiple handling zones are involved.
By reducing dependence on fixed rail infrastructure, the rubber-tyred design improves site adaptability and supports more efficient material handling workflows.
