Gantry Crane Projects

25 Ton Rubber Tyred Gantry Cranes for Precast Concrete Handling in Russia

Our company recently supplied two 12.5t+12.5t rubber tyred gantry cranes to a Russian client for efficiently transferring concrete precast components. These cranes offer a load capacity of 12.5+12.5 tons, a span of 6.9 meters, and a lifting height of 6.2 meters, featuring double hoists for enhanced stability and functionality.

Features of Rubber Tyred Gantry Cranes in Precast Concrete Handling

  • Working in Tandem: Typically, the lifting and handling of precast concrete components require the combined efforts of two units of the rubber tyre gantry cranes working in tandem. This enhances efficiency and ensures the smooth handling of heavy loads.
  • Stable Load Lifting Process: The load lifting process involves precise coordination between the cranes to evenly distribute the weight. This ensures a stable lift and minimizes the risk of imbalances during transportation.
  • Maneuverability and Precision: Working in tandem, these cranes can navigate through the precast plant with ease, adapting to varying terrains and spaces. The rubber tires provide traction and flexibility, allowing for precise positioning of the precast components, even in tight areas.

Testing of the 12.5T+12.5T Rubber Tyred Gantry Crane

The testing phase encompassed a comprehensive set of maneuvers and operations to validate the reliability and functionality of the rubber tyre gantry cranes. The following tests were successfully conducted:

  • Straight Forward and Backward Movement: The tyre mounted gantry cranes showed smooth and precise movement in both forward and backward directions.
  • Oblique Running: The ability to navigate oblique paths was tested, showcasing the cranes’ flexibility in challenging operational scenarios.
  • 360° All-Around Steering: The cranes showed flawless rotation capabilities, proving their effectiveness in navigating tight spaces.
  • 90° Steering: Precision steering at a 90° angle was successfully executed, demonstrating the cranes’ versatility in confined working environments.
  • Hoist Operations: Both single and double hoists underwent rigorous testing, including raising and lowering operations, ensuring optimal performance under varying load conditions.
  • Crane Traveling Tests: Full load tests were conducted to evaluate the cranes’ stability and reliability during movement, confirming their suitability for heavy-duty applications.
