Remote control overhead crane utilizes wireless remote control system to direct the movement of the crane and the hoist. It allows the operator to keep away from the load and maintain good visibility. The crane is also very easy to operate, and only one operator is needed to perform the work. Our overhead crane is available in multiple configurations to suit your specify facility conditions and operational needs, including single girder, double girder, top running and underhung system.

Advantages of Using Remote Control Overhead Crane
- One of the most important advantages is increased safety, as it allows the operator to stay away from the load while controlling the crane. Crane operator is able to walk around to get a better view of the load and the surroundings and ensure that the path is unobstructed.
- Remote control will free the operator from the restrictions of pendant control cables or cabin.
- The overhead crane is very easy to operate and has low operating costs.
- Overhead crane with remote control can improve working conditions, ideal for high-risk applications.
Working of Remote Control Overhead Crane
Overhead crane remote control utilizes a radio transmitter and receiver to direct three directions of crane motion: crane travelling operation, hoist lifting and travelling operation.
Crane travelling operation: utilizing crane travelling mechanism to move the crane back and forth along the runway beam.
Hoist lifting operation: using a lifting mechanism to lift and lower the load.
Hoist travelling operation: using hoist trolley travelling mechanism to move along the bridge girder.

Safety Requirements for Crane Wireless Remote Control
- Crane with remote control should have various protection functions, such as zero position protection, short circuit protection, emergency stop button and travel limit switch. If the remote control uses a non-automatic reset joystick, it is required that all joysticks should be at the zero position before operation.
- Crane using wireless remote control should be provided with a main contractor or an air circuit breaker with loss of voltage to cut off the main power of the crane.
- The wireless remote control overhead crane should be provided with an obvious remote indicator, indicating that the crane is operated with a remote control.
- When a crane is operated by both remote control and driver’s cab, the two should be interlocked. A transfer switch must be provided at the entrance to the driver’s cab.
- Relays and contactors running in forward and reverse directions should be electrically The radio remote control system should have the ability to resist co-frequency interference.
- The receiver housing and intermediate relay box should be reliably connected to the crane steel structure.
- Wireless remote control should be provided with emergency stop function, which includes active emergency stop and passive emergency stop. Active emergency stop means that the driver issues an emergency stop instruction through the transmitter to cut off the main power supply to the crane, and stop the various mechanisms of the crane. Passive emergency stop means that when the receiver fails to detect normal signals or fails in a certain period of time, it can cut off the power of the channel and stop the operation of the crane mechanism.
